The White Township Recreation Complex would like to say thank you to all our customers for putting up with minor scheduling conflicts during our energy-efficient lighting install project. Mike Hicks and Charles Peace (Maintenance Department) began the project in September, 2008 on the ice arena side and finished in early February on the turf side. The new fixtures are expected to save the arena $7,000 in energy costs per year. In addition to energy savings, the new T5 fixtures provide better light quality and increased bulb life.

In 1995, the township purchased a 50-acre parcel of land along East Pike Road for development as a recreation complex. Through local fund raising efforts and with the assistance of State grant funds, the "White Township Recreation Complex" is now a reality. The facilities completed and being utilized are four full-size baseball fields, including a 500-seat grandstand on one ball field, two soccer fields, a playground, walking trails, tennis courts, concession stand, restroom facilities, parking, two basketball courts, a picnic area and a seniors area.
