Township invites comment on policy

The final draft of the White Township Complete Streets Policy will soon be presented to the planning commission and board of supervisors for approval. Click here to view or download the policy.

Again in this process, the township invites area residents, property owners and travelers to review and offer comment on this policy.

The provisions of the policy should be familiar to most township stakeholders. The township's past practices of constructing sidewalks and marking crosswalks and bike lanes are simply being put into writing at this time. The policy also discusses the township's philosophies concerning transportation accessible to all.

Please visit the Complete Streets Policy public comment form here to submit your comments online. Including personal information is optional but helpful for the township to understand the significance and meaningfulness of the policy to various stakeholders.

Those interested may also email comments to Township Manager Chris Anderson at canderson@whitetownship.org or to the general township email box at wtinfo@whitetownship.org. Written comment may be delivered in person or by postal mail to White Township Municipal Office, 950 Indian Springs Road, Indiana, PA 15701.

Stakeholders may present public comment on the Complete Streets Policy or any other township issue at the regular public meetings of the board of supervisors and other township boards, commissions, authorities and committees.
